I When I started my visit with Dr. Alcantar and her staff, I weighed close to 400lbs, and my diabetes and high blood pressure were awful Now, after two years with Blum Health, I am 245lbs and my A1C has normalized. In all my years both in Dallas and El Paso, I never came across a doctor who was so caring, empathic, and patient. What separates Dr. Alcantar, and her staff is that they, treat the person...not the patient. She takes her time at each appointment, she asks questions and delves in detail over any results and offers recommendations to help. Dr. Alcantar, Ruth, Ariana, and Valeria speak to you as a person, not just someone in need of medications. Laura Alcantar is AMAZING!! I did not know I had PCOS until I met with her, she is the only one who has helped diagnose me and she has helped me control it!! Laura is very knowledgeable, sometimes I ask myself how she retains so much information, there are never any questions I have unanswered. For the first time in my 57 years of life I've found a Doctor worthy of being called a doctor. In less than one week I've began to feel stronger, healthy and happy. Although this young professional is a P.A., she displays all the attributes that a Physician should display, she's a great listener and really takes interest to your complaints and concerns, I've never met a Doctor that does that, that's something I've only read in books or seen in movies😆. Never the less, I believe this "Angel" of a human being will soar high and I think that other doctors should learn from her.
