Hormone replacement therapy provider: Allen Midwifery & Family Wellness

My experience at Allen Midwifery was truly amazing! So amazing in fact that I quit my job to work with them full-time! I cannot explain enough how grateful I am to all of the staff who is such an instrumental part in my prenatal care, as well as my birth and postpartum care at the birth center. I struggled with severe hyper emesis and felt very supported and loved throughout my pregnancy. Being a nurse, I valued the medical knowledge that the midwives bring, but appreciated the ability to have autonomy in my own care. I would highly recommend anyone looking for prenatal care from providers, who will actively listen to your concerns and plan WITH you not for you!

I never in a million years thought I would be sad to say goodbye to my providers at a six-week postpartum visit. My experience with my first three pregnancies was I believe very average. Every pregnancy, the office staff at my OB/GYN’s had turned over entirely, I waited close to an hour every visit to be seen for five minutes, I wasn’t allowed to bring my kids to appointments, and I could tell the OB was stretched too thin (there are very few obstetric providers in our county). The idea of seeing a midwife and delivering at a birth center always appealed to me, but it took several uncomplicated pregnancies and deliveries, insurance changes, and a desire for more holistic care to finally push me to Allen Midwifery. I could not have asked for a better experience and I wish I had made the switch sooner. 🥹 I felt not just cared for but genuinely cared about. My midwives frequently asked about my mental health, took the time to educate me as a patient (yes, I still have so much to learn even as a fourth time mom!), and welcomed my other children into the practice for my appointments. My labor and delivery experience were even better than what I would have asked for … they met needs I didn’t even know I had. My recovery experience was my best yet, and I think so much of that had to do with the care I received pre and postpartum. I hope to be back soon because these ladies are amazing!

We delivered at Allen Midwifery in July and had our last check up this week, we really enjoyed our experience there and would definitely recommend their services! Everyone was always so kind and supportive. We especially wanted to say thank you and do a special shout out to Alexis and Ashlyn, they were amazing, very knowledgeable, sweet and personable, and helped us feel so calm, comfortable, and confident throughout this pregnancy! We also got the opportunity to work with Megan and Debbie who assisted us with our delivery and they were wonderful, we really felt like we had a voice and were very cared for throughout our delivery experience. We’re grateful for this team and am so glad they accepted our insurance and were able to work with us!

My experience at this Birth center has been incredible. You are given options and great recommendations, resources and care. From my first appointment by 10 weeks pregnant till now, postpartum, I know I made the right choice by choosing to get all my prenatal care and birthing here. I know who to call when I want to grow my family even more. Courtney, Alexis, Lauren, Liz and Ariel are all amazing at what they do here.
